Techniques To Learn Beginners Meditation

Learning the art of beginner’s meditation should start in the right place.  Before applying any meditation technique, you have to learn how to start meditation properly.

The very first step in learning beginner’s meditation is to find a quiet place.  You have to make sure that the place is free from noise and unwanted distractions.   The place can be your living room, the garden, or an open space where you can breathe fresh air.  Depending on the person, you can have a soft music playing on the background or complete silence.  Busy places should be avoided to promote calmness.

After finding your quiet place, the next process is to learn to relax.    We tend to forget how to relax most of the times due to the busyness in our day to day lives.  Factors that prevent our body from relaxing are work deadlines and payments.

To relax properly, start from your feet and work your way up to your head.  After you have finished one part, maintain that body part relaxed before moving to another part.  Full body relaxation is a must to master beginners meditation.  It might be difficult at first but with practice, it is possible.

Once you have reached a full relaxed state, simply close your eyes.  Take slow, long, deep breaths.  You should continue breathing when performing beginners meditation.  You can count each breath you take for a few seconds, and then increase the time.  Conscious breathing helps many beginners learn the meditation process.

The last step is the meditation process.  Learn to focus.  Try to focus on a single thing.  You can focus on your breathing, chirping of the birds, mantras, or anything that you are comfortable with.  It is normal that your focus might drift sometimes.  Just bring your focus back when this happens.

More often than not, it is the most basic and simplest that works.  Simple meditation techniques can be the best ones for beginners like you.  You can definitely try the simple techniques mentioned above to master meditation.    Even just for a few minutes everyday can do wonders to your body.
