Sonic energy or sound is the vibration of particles in the form of wave thru matter. Sound can’t be broadcast thru vacuum, but only through substances in which atoms are free to vibrate. Sound is broadcast when vibrating particles pass on their vibration to adjacent particles. A transfer of energy occurs without a transfer of matter. Sound travels in a similar way to a wave that has been generated by throwing a rock into still water.
Whenever substance vibrates (eg. tuning forks) sound is produced. The ability to perceive this sound depends upon the character of the vibration wave. The number of vibrations per second that pass a given point is called the frequency. The unit of frequency is the hertz which is symbolized as Hz.
The ear is able to convert sound waves into nerve impulses in the range of 20 to 20,000 Hz. The conscious perception of any particular frequency is termed the pitch which may not be true sound frequency. Pitch varies from the true frequency at very high and low frequencies. Loudness is the amount of energy that's sensed by the ear for a given frequency. This is a subjective term, that is, what's loud to one person would possibly not be to another. Overstimulation of the ear with excessive sound ends up in pain which may lead to short lived or even permanent hearing impairment.
Sound vibrations organized and aimed at awaken certain bodily functions would prompt particular physiological replies, some positive, others negative. How bodily atoms, molecules, cells, tissues, organs, and systems are influenced by such centered energy is a topic in constant need of study.
The most recent discovery in science of sound and energy are Solfeggio frequencies. These specific vibrations are now being tested by biochemists from every part of the planet. There are nine Solfeggio frequencies (396 Hz, 471 Hz, 528 Hz, 639 Hz, 741 Hz, 852 Hz, 936 Hz) and each has huge effect on our body and emotions. When listening to them,we are receiving the rich sonic energy too.
